Property Description
This lovely property is set among beautiful pine trees, which provide visitors with purified air as well as shade on the hot summer days. The smells are just divine! The huge, peaceful garden will be a delight for the whole family, the only sound being the birds singing.
Inside, the very pleasant living/dining room has a fire, making it ideal for cooler evenings. Three comfortable bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room can be found on the ground floor, whilst on the first floor there is the main bedroom, adjacent bathroom and a mezzanine, where guests who wish to read or watch TV will not disturb the rest of the party.
The whole house has a lovely feeling of a true family home which is perfect for the summer, as well as the cooler months. Located in a prime area, the house is very close to several beaches which are a sufers paradise (Praia Grande, Praia das Maçäs and many others).
Close by is Sintra - a classified UNESCO World Heritage site, with its palaces and the wonderful Toy Museum. Mafra also makes for a pleasant day out, with its palace/convent and the miniature village is a must see for younger visitors.
Cascais and Estoril are not far away and Lisbon is within easy reach and well worth the visit. Golfers will be spoilt here as there are several excellent courses in the surrounding area. The house is incredibly light and pleasant.
The comfortable sitting room has a fireplace, very welcoming during the cool nights and through French doors you step out into the well-kept garden. Through an archway there is the dining room, again a very pleasant and light room.
The four bedrooms are charming, some of them with antique Portuguese iron beds, the bedspreads made of traditional Portuguese fabrics. In the lovely garden, with views over the gentle hills there is an area for al-fresco meals and guests with small children will be pleased to know that the pool is fenced-in, as well as the garden.
Always a treat for the younger guests are the slide and swings at the back of the house! Private swimming pool (10 x 5m; 1.10-2.5m depth).
